Camp offers opportunity to develop leadership

Laerskool Numbi Primary held its biggest Land Service camp at Ons Plek earlier in March.

The learners enjoyed a weekend filled with fun, games and laughter.

They were divided into four teams, each with a teacher as the leader. Each team chose its unique name and designed its own T-shirt. Groups received points for activities completed, team spirit, helpfulness, being on time, neatness of rooms and teamwork.

Some of the grade six and seven learners were selected to take part in a survival camp at Sunlight Falls on May 11, from where a selection of leaders will represent Numbi at the provincial camp in June.
