All in a day’s work

Summerhill Prep also celebrated Workers’ Day on May 1.

Each class (grade 000 to seven) spent two hours doing some form of work at the school.

This was for the children to learn and appreciate what the support staff do, as well as to foster pride in the school.

A variety of jobs were undertaken by each class, including scrubbing benches, gardening, repainting building blocks (the preschool enjoyed this) and sanding jungle gyms.

The day was a huge success and everyone had fun
