Three days of golfing and fun

Saturday's winners Wayden Maritz, Ivan Mhlongu, Mina Verwey and Ben van der Westhuysen.

Kruger Park Lodge Golf Club recently hosted the three-day Hornbill Classic Tournament 2018, with golfers from all around the country participating.

It was once again successfully and professionally presented, with great support from local players and local retail, as well as support from national sponsors and players from all over South Africa.

More than 300 golfers participated over the three days.

The first night’s prize-giving and dinner was held in the form of an informal get-together in the garden of the main building, with a finger food and canapés buffet, as well as a gin bar catered for by G’s @ KPL.

The Botes four-ball, who won this round, were playing this tournament for the 13th time.

On Friday and Saturday night the prize-giving functions consisted of dinner and dance music at G’s Bar and Bistro.

On Friday night the ladies and girls of Dance School Tempo performed a demonstration of line dancing.

Saturday night offered a wine tasting and a well-supported raffle. Valuable accommodation prizes, a wheelbarrow full of liquor, a golf bag and putter as well as a queen-size bed and several pillow sets were won.

Prizes were awarded up to tenth place and more individual prizes as well as a “most golf” prize were up for grabs.
